וּזְכֹר֙ אֶת־בּ֣וֹרְאֶ֔יךָ בִּימֵ֖י בְּחוּרֹתֶ֑יךָ עַ֣ד אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹא־יָבֹ֙אוּ֙ יְמֵ֣י הָֽרָעָ֔ה וְהִגִּ֣יעוּ שָׁנִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֹּאמַ֔ר אֵֽין־לִ֥י בָהֶ֖ם חֵֽפֶץ׃
Uzejor et-bore’eja biméi bejuroteja ad asher lo-yavou yeméi hara’á vehigíu shanim asher tomar ein-li vahem jefets
Empero has de recordar a tu Creador en los días de tus mocedades, mientras no vengan los días del mal y hayan de llegar años en los que habrás de decir: “No tengo en ellos deseo"

עַ֠ד אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא־תֶחְשַׁ֤ךְ הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ וְהָא֔וֹר וְהַיָּרֵ֖חַ וְהַכּוֹכָבִ֑ים וְשָׁ֥בוּ הֶעָבִ֖ים אַחַ֥ר הַגָּֽשֶׁם׃
Ad asher lo-tejshaj hashemesh vehaor vehayareaj vehakojavim veshavu he’avim ajar hagáshem
Mientras no se oscurezca el sol, y la luz y la luna y los astros; y hayan de retomar las nubes en pos de la lluvia.

בַּיּ֗וֹם שֶׁיָּזֻ֙עוּ֙ שֹׁמְרֵ֣י הַבַּ֔יִת וְהִֽתְעַוְּת֖וּ אַנְשֵׁ֣י הֶחָ֑יִל וּבָטְל֤וּ הַטֹּֽחֲנוֹת֙ כִּ֣י מִעֵ֔טוּ וְחָשְׁכ֥וּ הָרֹא֖וֹת בָּאֲרֻבּֽוֹת׃
Bayom sheyazuu shomréi habáyit vehit’avetú anshéi hejáyil uvatlú hatojanot ki mi’etu vejashjú haroot ba’arubot
En el día en que hayan de temblar los guardianes de la casa, y se hayan de torcer los hombres de vigor. Y hayan cesado las moledoras, pues pocas ya son, y se oscurezcan las que miran por las lumbreras.

וְסֻגְּר֤וּ דְלָתַ֙יִם֙ בַּשּׁ֔וּק בִּשְׁפַ֖ל ק֣וֹל הַֽטַּחֲנָ֑ה וְיָקוּם֙ לְק֣וֹל הַצִּפּ֔וֹר וְיִשַּׁ֖חוּ כָּל־בְּנ֥וֹת הַשִּֽׁיר׃
Vesugerú delatayim bashuk bishfal kol hatajaná veyakum lekol hatsipor veyishaju kol-benot hashir
Y cuando se hayan cerrado las puertas en el zoco al reducirse el sonido del molino, y se haya de levantar al sonido del pájaro y hayan bajado todas las hijas de la canción.

גַּ֣ם מִגָּבֹ֤הַּ יִרָ֙אוּ֙ וְחַתְחַתִּ֣ים בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְ וְיָנֵ֤אץ הַשָּׁקֵד֙ וְיִסְתַּבֵּ֣ל הֶֽחָגָ֔ב וְתָפֵ֖ר הָֽאֲבִיּוֹנָ֑ה כִּֽי־הֹלֵ֤ךְ הָאָדָם֙ אֶל־בֵּ֣ית עוֹלָמ֔וֹ וְסָבְב֥וּ בָשּׁ֖וּק הַסֹּפְדִֽים׃
Gam migavoha yirau vejatjatim badérej veyanéts hashaked veyistabel hejagav vetafer ha’avioná ki-holej ha’adam el-beit olamó vesavevú vashuk hasofedim
Cuando también de lo alto temen y hay sustos en el camino, y cuando brote el almendro y se fatigue la langosta, y cuando se anule el deseo pues ya va el hombre a su morada eterna y cuando circulan en el zoco los endechadores.

עַ֣ד אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־ירחק [יֵרָתֵק֙] חֶ֣בֶל הַכֶּ֔סֶף וְתָרֻ֖ץ גֻּלַּ֣ת הַזָּהָ֑ב וְתִשָּׁ֤בֶר כַּד֙ עַל־הַמַּבּ֔וּעַ וְנָרֹ֥ץ הַגַּלְגַּ֖ל אֶל־הַבּֽוֹר׃
Ad asher lo-yeratek jével hakésef vetarúts gulat hazahav vetisháver kad al-hamabúa venaróts hagalgal el-habor
Mientras no se quiebre el cordón de plata y se quebrante el reservorio de oro, y se rompa el cántaro sobre el manantial, y se precipite la polea al pozo...

וְיָשֹׁ֧ב הֶעָפָ֛ר עַל־הָאָ֖רֶץ כְּשֶׁהָיָ֑ה וְהָר֣וּחַ תָּשׁ֔וּב אֶל־הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר נְתָנָֽהּ׃
Veyashov he’afar al-ha’arets keshehayá veharuaj tashuv el-ha’elohim asher netanah
Y haya de volver el polvo sobre la tierra como era, mientras que el hálito habrá de volver a Elohim, quien lo había dado.

הֲבֵ֧ל הֲבָלִ֛ים אָמַ֥ר הַקּוֹהֶ֖לֶת הַכֹּ֥ל הָֽבֶל׃
Havel havalim amar hakohélet hakol hável
¡Absurdo de absurdidades! Ha dicho el Kohelet; todo es absurdo!

וְיֹתֵ֕ר שֶׁהָיָ֥ה קֹהֶ֖לֶת חָכָ֑ם ע֗וֹד לִמַּד־דַּ֙עַת֙ אֶת־הָעָ֔ם וְאִזֵּ֣ן וְחִקֵּ֔ר תִּקֵּ֖ן מְשָׁלִ֥ים הַרְבֵּֽה׃
Veyoter shehayá kohélet jajam od limad-da’at et-ha’am ve’izén vejiker tikén meshalim harbé
Y a más que había sido Kohelet sabio, más aun, enseñó conocimiento al pueblo, y equiparó e inquirió, y ordenó proverbios, muchos.

בִּקֵּ֣שׁ קֹהֶ֔לֶת לִמְצֹ֖א דִּבְרֵי־חֵ֑פֶץ וְכָת֥וּב יֹ֖שֶׁר דִּבְרֵ֥י אֱמֶֽת׃
Bikesh kohélet limtsó divrei-jefets vejatuv yósher divréi emet
Buscó Kohelet hallar cosas deseables y escrito de rectitud: palabras de verdad.

דִּבְרֵ֤י חֲכָמִים֙ כַּדָּ֣רְבֹנ֔וֹת וּֽכְמַשְׂמְר֥וֹת נְטוּעִ֖ים בַּעֲלֵ֣י אֲסֻפּ֑וֹת נִתְּנ֖וּ מֵרֹעֶ֥ה אֶחָֽד׃
Divréi jajamim kadarvonot ujemasmerot netu’im ba’aléi asupot nitenú mero’é ejad
Las palabras de los sabios son como aguijadas, y cual estacas rematadas por roblones. Fueron dadas de pastor único.

וְיֹתֵ֥ר מֵהֵ֖מָּה בְּנִ֣י הִזָּהֵ֑ר עֲשׂ֨וֹת סְפָרִ֤ים הַרְבֵּה֙ אֵ֣ין קֵ֔ץ וְלַ֥הַג הַרְבֵּ֖ה יְגִעַ֥ת בָּשָֽׂר׃
Veyoter mehema bení hizaher asot sefarim harbe ein kets veláhag harbé yegi’at basar
Y otro sí, hijo mío, cuídate: Hacer libros muchos, no hay fin; mientras que la lectura profusa es cansancio de la carne.

ס֥וֹף דָּבָ֖ר הַכֹּ֣ל נִשְׁמָ֑ע אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִ֤ים יְרָא֙ וְאֶת־מִצְוֺתָ֣יו שְׁמ֔וֹר כִּי־זֶ֖ה כָּל־הָאָדָֽם׃
Sof davar hakol nishmá et-ha’elohim yera ve’et-mitsotav shemor ki-ze kol-ha’adam
¡El epílogo! Todo se entiende: a Elohim has de temer y Sus preceptos has de cuidar, ya que esto es toda la persona.

כִּ֤י אֶת־כָּל־מַֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים יָבִ֥א בְמִשְׁפָּ֖ט עַ֣ל כָּל־נֶעְלָ֑ם אִם־ט֖וֹב וְאִם־רָֽע׃
Ki et-kol-ma’asé ha’elohim yaví vemishpat al kol-nelam im-tov ve’im-ra
Pues a todo acto Elohim traerá a juicio, por todo lo oculto, ora bueno, ora malo.
